Backstreet’s…uh…er…back?
A sad day for somebody, I guess. The oldest member of The Backstreet Boys is leaving the band to pursue other interests. The band has no plans to replace him, mostly because at their first casting call, the only person who showed up was David Lee Roth. Despite looking younger than two of the other band members, he was rebuffed - the reason given was “his sucky cancelled radio show”. David plans on returning to his career of sitting at home and staring at the phone, hoping Eddie Van Halen will call him. Backstreet, meanwhile, plans on returning to the studio to record their new album, tenatively titled At Least Our Parents Won’t Get Their Hands On The Money For This Album.
I only mention this because, well, I somehow got the mistaken impression that the Boys had broken up somewhere in the past. Or maybe one of them died? I dunno, maybe that was part of this dream I had once (featuring two talking dogs, the world’s strongest rainbow, and yellow fever). Maybe this just proves how far my finger is from the pulse of the music scene anymore.

So, the Backdoor Boys are still around. Shame. I thought with Britney out of the “game” that we might be able to have some real music again. I guess not.
