My Addled Brain

Aside from a brief stop to watch Ray, this weekend has been going pretty much non-stop. We visited the house again, and began the long, dark task of cleaning. Teh 1 has been instrumental in this, as I have inherited the PackRat Gene from the Madre. Of course, she didn’t get to toss everything she wanted to, but honestly, I’m pretty fond of my Ren & Stimpy action figures.

I’m going to have a few reviews up in the next day or two - they’re still fermenting in my head.

Good. Welcome to the new Home of the Brain. My thanks to Dukey, without whom I’d still be in Linux hell, attempting (badly) to set up a home web server. Instead, I get the quality site you see before you. Huzzah for managed hosting!

I’ve changed blogging software, bye-bye CGI, hello PHP! I’ve barely gotten into it, but I’m already highly impressed with WordPress. I’m going to try and get the old articles/comments imported over - dunno how well it’s going to go, but I’m itching to give it a try. And I’ll get the design moved as well. But for now, I’m just happy to be settled in.

Apparently, I don’t keep up with this movie stuff much these days. While the concept of Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money is enough to get my little geek heart all a pitter-patter, the news of a surprise guest star in Freddy Vs. Jason 2 has got me amped: Ash! That’s right, our favorite Deadite killer is back, presumably to take his boom stick to those two primitive screwheads. Come get some!

Yes, I’m here. Since Teh 1 hasn’t posted an account of my death to the comment system, you knew I was. But, I suppose not updating my site in a couple of weeks, especially after a two day jaunt to southeastern Massachusetts to attend a wedding that wasn’t - well, it was, it just wasn’t THERE - probably deserved a bit more attention than a shrug. So, my apologies to Becca, who was one of the participants in the wedding that wasn’t there (I hope you two are having fun in Hawaii, and be sure not to anger the Tiki gods, as they can get wicked vengeful, and may destroy your caaaaah), and I suppose I owe a few people some phone calls. I will take care of that post haste.

In the meantime, we do indeed have new pictures of the home up, peruse at your leisure. There will be pictures of the trip up just as soon as I figure out how to photoshop hair and a svelter body onto myself. There would probably be more, and better, pictures, but we ran into some technical difficulties. Just know that digital cameras can take more pictures when you use rechargable batteries instead of disposable.

Now, I have to return my attention to the continuing crisis at work this week, which is something akin to this:

*phone rings*
Moi: Hello?
Person with issue: OMG WTF!
Moi: What seems to be the problem?
Person with issue: BLARG BLARG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Moi: Righto. I’ll get right on it.
