Anyone able to loan me some winning lotto numbers? How about a very old, rich relative? House hunting without a down is really sucky in a sellers market!
I know the feeling.
When I started looking for houses I had no money in my pocket. Ended up having to scrimp for 9 months to have the money to take care of the first few installments of the upfront money. It ended up being worth it.
That’s one advantage of buying new. You get time to build up the down payment.
I only needed a few hundred to get the ball rolling on the contract. Then something like $1500 to get the construction started. And then there was one other intermediate payment for what I can’t remember. Then there was closing.
Got a bead on the inside track of possibilities, because after two months of surfing Realtor.com and Buy Owner.com my will has been crushed! I am considering not just new building but townhomes! (albeit nice ones) *cry*

BBD and I-75 is terrible, luckily I live no where near it. I do, live right off of County Line Road, and have never had a traffic backup there.

Exactly.
Or where I live…even further north in Wesley Chapel. Only one snarl (54/75).
Everything else is fine.

I just got back from a weekend in Clovis, New Mexico. I didn’t see any traffic problems there. They have a Wal-Mart. A big one.

At the risk of a Fenster/Gordon Gekko sighting, I have this to add:
BBD & I75 = teh suck.
Being able to take 75 or 275 with no extra effort… pretty keen.
Having your house value appreciate ca. double-digit percents per annum = teh win!1!
Being able to hang with multiple nicknam?d purveyors of this fine blog with the greatest of ease = priceless.

Why don’t you spend all that time gambling and trying to increase your bankroll instead of searching for real estate listings? Man, some people!
