Bah

I worry too much.

Who Moved My Chair?

Now Playing: The Vines - Highly Evolved

First off, I would like to congratulate the Madre on the celebration of her 34th birthday. To this day I can’t believe she had me when she was 6. We still have the copy of the Enquirer she was pictured on. Happy birthday, Mom.

Secondly, another congratulations - this time to the Madre and the Red Baron, this time on the celebration of the 46th anniversary of their marriage. Wait…that can’t be right…Oh well, happy anniversary, you two. Don’t keep the neighbors up with all that loud music and rowdy partying as you celebrate.

So, our office move was a success. A highly erratic, fairly disordered, either ten things to do or nothing at all affair to be sure, but successful nonetheless. Our network is up and running, we have (new!) furniture to work at, but most importantly - dude, we got some Dells. I suddenly feel like I work at a real company now, and have real priorities, and have a real worth in my position. Which is a drastic change from the past, where I felt like I was given something to do that kept me busy and out of the hair of people with more important things to take care of. I’m not quite sure how I feel about that…but I’m sure it doesn’t suck.

Finally, my 3-0 Bucs face their greatest enemy - a short week. Normally I’d feel fortunate that we were facing a team of the caliber of the Bungles. But considering last year we were in the same situation and barely squeaked by - I’ll probably be holding my breath at the end of THIS game, too.

Is this thing on?

If you’re reading this, you’ve stumbled into my new website publishing system. I’m working out the kinks as you read this (if you’re lucky). Until then, you’re gonna see this funky looking page (at least, I think it’s funky looking. I haven’t actually seen it myself, sadly).

Once I have everything up and running, expect a lot of rather cool stuff from me in the next couple of weeks. I expect this thing to run like the wind when it’s all said and done.

As for my abscence…well, it was mostly due to a screw up by my otherwise fine hosting provider. Having cleared that little obstacle, I find myself working feverishly on getting ready for prime time - getting the archives and the category pages in order, and all kinds of other fun stuff.

And assuming this DID go well…you should see a link below to offer comments. Yes, that’s right, you can now comment to your little heart’s content on whatever it is I’m wasting your time on, for the whole world to see. Well, ok, three or four people, but still. You know you want to click it. It’s calling you, like it’s a big hunk of candy…sweet, delicious candy? You can’t resist it can you? Well, go on…push it. I SAID PUSH IT!

Sorry.

We thank you for your patience. Now get on up - stay on the scene - like a love machine. I thank you, and James Brown thanks you.

[EDITED 9:48 PM]: Finally plowed through all the archives. The links are next…god help me.

Anger management is for wimps

Currently playing: Norah Jones - Come Away With Me

Well, I’ve had it. I spent most of last night setting up a new system for administering my website, and so far, all I’ve managed to administer is a headache and a severe dislike of my current web host. So severe, in fact, I’ve spent several hours looking for a new one.

I think I’ve found it. So, that means, once I double check a couple things, another move will be occurring. Once I have everything up, though, I’ll have all kinds of goodies for you kids, including some lovely photos from my trip to Atlanta and DragonCon.

That assumes that the world is still here by then. I mean, it must be coming to an end, considering the company just signed a lease on a new office in Tampa…one that I could walk to from my apartment, if I were feeling frisky. And we all know how frightening THAT concept is. We move in a week from Monday, so I’ll be spending a good bit of time getting everything set up and ready to go, while at the same time trying to finish up the three projects I have going right now.
