Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Me…
Currently playing: Alison Krauss - Forget About It
I had one of the best dinners last night. I ate at a fairly new restaurant in town: Splash! (Exclamation point not mine.) Unless you’re completely daft, you’ll recognize that this is a seafood restaurant. And Oh! (exclamation point mine), what a seafood restaurant. I had the "Pan Seared Sesame Crusted Tuna", served with "Lobster mashed potatoes", and "vegetables". It was fantastic. I went there with my friends John and Sarah, John had the "Lobster Thermidor", and Sarah had the "Cedar Maple Glazed Salmon". For dessert, we split the "Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee", and after we ate, we left in a "car". My personal recommendation: you should "eat" there, if you’re in the neighborhood. But get a "reservation" first.
So, today is Gasparilla. So why, after spending so much time discussing it, am I sitting at home, working on the web site, instead of out there? Well, to be completely honest, I’m not a big fan of the parade. So, we get what we have here - which is the way I want it. So, I get it.
And finally, site news: In case you haven’t noticed, all of the previous entries are gone. I’ve moved them to the archives, which you can access from the bottom of the page. After all, I wouldn’t want to deprive you of any details of my life…that would be "unfair".
[Updated 2/2/02 - 7:56 PM] Apparently, it’s spelled Sara, not Sarah. I’d just go back and fix the article, but I find it funnier to leave it misspelled.
